Motors on an insulated indoor rack and boats on their trailers in the fenced yard beside the shop, put away in the fall and handed back in spring with fifteen minutes in the test tank behind them. A motor on the rack is $160 for the season, and bookings open August 1.
Storage pays for the space. Winterize and recommission are their own jobs, priced by horsepower, and nearly every stored motor has both. Pick your band to mark it.
The horsepower is on the serial plate, on the transom clamp bracket.

TermsSkiffs, jon boats and tenders on their own trailers in the fenced yard next to the shop, motor winterized where it hangs.
Half at booking, half at recommission.
TermsThe same yard for small center consoles and daysailers. Anything longer than 22 ft stays out of the yard.
Over 22 ft, bring the motor in for the rack instead.
TermsFlush, fogging, fuel stabilizer, lower unit oil and grease, done on arrival before the motor is racked.
Lower unit oil is checked for water as it drains.
Price ledgerFuel line and bulb check, battery load test, plugs inspected and a tank run, between March 15 and May 15.
Fifteen minutes in the test tank before it goes home.
ChecklistIf the spring check turns up a cracked fuel line or a tired impeller, you get a written quote and nothing is touched until you agree.
The $95 comes off the repair if you go ahead.
ServicesThe dates hold every year, so a motor booked in August knows roughly when it will see the water again.
Write in with the horsepower and what is being stored. Half the storage fee holds the bay or the yard space.
Any weekday, or a Saturday morning in October. Trailers can be fetched within 25 miles for $95 each way.
Flushed, fogged, stabilized, lower unit oil changed and every grease point filled, at the rate for its horsepower.
Onto a stand in the rack room or a marked spot in the yard, paper tag on the tiller, cowling off for a week to dry.
Racks walked, dehumidifier checked, traps emptied. That carries on right through the winter closure.
Eleven lines on the checklist and a tank run. Ask for your week early, because spring is the long turnaround.6
Pay the second half and take it home. Left 30 days past the agreed date, it is $35 a month after that.
Plate 04A two cylinder tiller motor in its first week on a rack stand, drawn from bay fourteen. The top cowling sits on two blocks on the floor so the powerhead can dry, the plug boots are off after fogging, and the drain and vent screws are out so the old lower unit oil runs into the pan, where it is looked at for water before the case is refilled. The tag stays on the tiller until spring.
Every motor that goes on the rack, from 2.5 to 150 hp,7 goes through the same routine in the same order. Boats in the yard get the same work on the motor where it hangs.
The recommission list. $140 up to 30 hp, $195 for 40-90 hp and $250 for 100-150 hp. Every stored motor gets every line, in this order.
Storage is the one job at the shop paid in two halves. Everything else is paid on collection, apart from parts orders over $250.
Half the storage fee when you book, from August 1. The other half when the motor is recommissioned in spring.
Motors left uncollected 30 days after the agreed date are charged $35 a month until they go home.
Boats over 22 ft are not taken into the yard. The motor can still come off and go on the rack at $160 for the season.
Write to hello@obmengine.com with the horsepower, the length on the trailer if it is a boat, and the week you would like it back. Replies within one working day.
Bookings open August 1; motors come in October 1 to November 30.
